The new lighting design project by the Atelier, Jaeguer Residence, located in Jaguarão, RS, Brazil, proposes a sensitive dialogue between past and present, exploring the harmonious coexistence between the minimalist language of architecture and the appreciation of historical heritage. The contemporary residence belongs to clients who deeply value artistic and symbolic pieces, a perspective that is directly reflected in the design choices.
Some original elements, including lighting fixtures, will be carefully preserved and reintegrated into the space, respecting their historical and emotional significance. Among them, the iconic Lucellino lamp by Ingo Maurer, which reinforces the artistic and timeless character of the project.
Within the contemporary architecture of the house, natural light plays a central role. The proposal enhances daylight throughout the day, with special attention to solar orientation, visual comfort, and the well-being of the residents, establishing a direct relationship between the dynamics of light and the rhythms of everyday life.
Complementing this approach, the project incorporates state-of-the-art lighting technology. Systems with adjustable color temperature allow the environments to adapt to different activities, moods, and moments throughout the day, offering a personalized, functional, and emotionally engaging experience.
The result is a precise, sensitive, and contemporary lighting design, conceived to accompany the rhythms and transformations of daily life.
