LIGHTS + LIGHTS!!

I’ve been thinking for a long time about how to bring back a Christmas lighting experience we had here in Porto Alegre, in the 90’s! At Rua Doutor Tauphick Saadi at Christmas there was a veritable pilgrimage of cars coming from various parts of the city to see the Christmas lighting that took over the whole street! It was fabulous, a precursor to Natal Luz de Gramado I would say.
A lot of color, a lot of blinkers, a lot of Santa Claus, a lot of ornaments, a lot of joy in people’s eyes.
After that, on my first trip to Germany, to Light + Building in Frankfurt, where ILUMINALE was taking place, a lighting event in parallel with L+B, where the slopes of buildings, monuments and light installations could be seen and visited.
And the third outstanding experience was going to Hong Kong and seeing what the light shows on the facades of buildings were at the end of the afternoon.
Well, now we are starting a new segment within the Atelier, a segment specialized in festive lighting, focused a lot on Christmas, but we will also work on Easter and other popular festivals.
You will be surprised!! And let’s celebrate life!

Michael Jackson

Last week, my wife Gabi and I went to see the Michael Jackson film in theaters, and I must admit that I left the screening deeply impressed by both the cinematography and the lighting. Although the two naturally work hand in hand and constantly complement one another, this production makes it very clear that each serves a distinct purpose within the visual narrative.
